Inlays and Onlays
Inlays and onlays are used in cases where the natural tooth is present but is damaged to some extent. The natural tooth is used as the base. The inlay is done in cases where the cusps of the teeth are not damaged in any way. An onlay is used in case the tooth is more extensively damaged. First the dentist removes the decayed part of the tooth and then the porcelain restoration is made with CEREC machine. Then the inlay or onlay is placed and set with the cement.
