Dear Dr. Shiraz,
I write as I prepare to leave Minnesota at my end of year. I have not forgotten your kindness, and I write today to formally thank you for the favor that you did for me. I hope you remember me. I am the exchange student from Tajikistan who you helped with a toothache treatment by providing me with an emergency root canal. I was in pain and I faced the possibility of being returned home early.
I have been pain free since your help. I am also doing a better job of taking care of my teeth. I brush them three times a day, I also floss them regularly.
I will never forget the advice you gave me. I realize now how important it is to take care of your teeth. I am going to take care of my teeth until the rest of my life. In addition, after I get back home some people that I know are coming to USA as exchange students. I am going to tell them to take care of their teeth before they come, so that they hopefully avoid the situation that I had.
My parents in Tajikistan were sad when they realized that I have a serious dental problem. They were, like me, very happy and grateful after you treated me. They asked me to thank you from them too.
Your help permitted me to stay in the country and finish off my school year. This has been a life changing experience for me, and I owe no small part of it to you.
During the surgery, I did not feel any pain. Still I am having a great time and a lot of fun. None of my teeth hurt now. Thank you very much again Dr. Shiraz.
Thank you again! I wish you all success in your family and your career.
