Dental Exam
A thorough, in-depth dental exam is a staple of every visit you make to the dentist’s office. The dental exam is performed by our skilled dentists. The dentists analyze and look through each patient’s medical history and dental records along with the x-rays they perform. After this, the dental exam is performed to access the condition of the patient. Our dentists usually look for inflammation and gum recession, evaluate the patient’s bite and perform an oral cancer screening, check for any cavities, cracks or abnormalities. Timely checkups and regular dental exams make it easier for dentists to identify and diagnose any dental problems early on which allows us to treat them quickly and efficiently.

Dental x-rays may reveal
- Cysts or abscess
- Decay between teeth
- Cancerous and non-cancerous tumors
- Developmental abnormalities
- Abnormalities with the development of teeth.
Are dental x-rays safe?
Dental x-rays are no riskier than any other type of x-rays. The low level of radiation is well-below what is considered to be dangerous and our staff also takes all the necessary precautions when the x-rays are being taken. These include the use of a lead apron to protect the body and the use of modern and fast films to cut down the exposure time of each x-ray.
